Passionflower
Ambassador · Passionflower · visual presence only
A climbing vine with intricate flowers, used in the Americas for restlessness and a mind that will not dim the lights.
This prototype offers educational plant guidance only and does not replace medical care. Check with a qualified professional before using herbs or supplements, especially if you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a chronic condition, or are choosing something for a child or pet.

Benefits and traditional uses
- Traditionally used for restless sleep
- Calming support when thoughts loop
- Ornamental vine for trellises
Indigenous and later folk traditions in the Americas used aerial parts of Passiflora incarnata for nervous unrest and sleeplessness. The flower itself looks like a lesson in patience: many parts, one bloom.
Precautions
- May increase drowsiness with other calming herbs or medicines.
- Not a substitute for care when sleep loss is severe or sudden.
Prepare
Dried aerial parts as tea or in a practitioner-prepared extract. Evening use is common. Combine only with other calming plants when you understand the stacking effect.
Dosage
Dosage is not provided in this prototype. A later sourced record can sit here. Do not treat any number on this site as a prescription.
